Glitchtale Chara can perform very highly damaging combos, but has low defense. Classes that can knock out his first phase in one or more combos include Carrot God, LV 20 Undertale Frisk, Glitchtale Frisk in his Second/True Love phase, Undertale Sans, Sakuya, Delta Sans, Storyshift Chara, and other .

Glitchtale Chara is among the highest damage dealers while also having very fast movement and attack speed. His strongest melee deals the most damage out of any other melee except Carrot God's sword. Also, with the recent Glitchtale Chara rebuff, he is pretty tanky in HATE form, bringing his Health to 200. In his first phase, he gains 150 defense, but HATE causes his defense to slowly increase from 150 to 190.
